Technopol being the official delegate for Russian Federation took part at the 13th edition of International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME)with 7 outstanding inventions. The event was held from the 12th to 15th of February 2023 by Kuwait Science Club under the patronage of His Highness, the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and in collaboration with the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), UNESCO, and International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. Today IIFME is one of the largest and most prominent innovation exhibitions in the Middle East and worldwide.
Innovation centers, commercial companies, and government agencies showcased the results of their R&D activities, as well as samples of new products, advanced inventions and technologies. The patented-only exhibits displayed at the Fair represented various fields of economy, such as IT and computer technologies, engineering and metallurgy, medicine, agriculture, transport, ecology, energy and many more.
The 13th edition of IIFME gathered 169 teams of inventors from more than 30 countries, with Russia being among those for the first time. Overall the Russian delegation debut is considered highly successful resulting in 1 bronze, 1 silver, 2 gold medals and 3 gold medals with congratulations of the Jury, as well as the special prize from WIPO and Kuwait Science Club special award.
«Russian inventors took part in the Fair for the first time, yet they have already attracted the attention of foreign experts and investors. JSC NIIAS (the Russian Railways subsidiary) exhibited 3 brand new technologies and are negotiating with Kuwaiti governmental organizations regarding their possible cooperation in the upcoming construction of the railway», said Vadim Gusev, the head of the Russian delegation.
